TFS error "The item does not exist at the specified"
Kevin Bergman
Has anyone seen this error in TFS? the users previously have not had an issue but now when trying to check out code they recieve "The item $/MAF does not exist at the specified
version". We've deleted and recreated workspaces, I confirmed their permissions. It is not for a specific file, it happens in different files and folders.

FYI - we had tried deleting and recreating workspaces but that did not solve the issue, once we added READ access at the project level the issue was solved.

Is this happening when working with files directly in Source Control Explorer, or just when you work with files in a project?

The solution in the forum worked for one user, the other two users had been disabled because of an active directory move. The problem is now solved, thanks everyone.
