Is there a place in TFS to store sample code?
Ryan Morlok
Is there a place that people have traditionally used to store sample code and projects? I'm looking for something that I could reference from things like NSA Wiki when I'm writing documentation. Some place that really isn't security restricted, at least globally readable. Something we can put code like what you do with Github on the public internet

What about the [content marketplace/ corporate source][1] Mercurial repository? It's open and yet you can control who commits.
I'd recommend Atlassian's [SourceTree][2] client - it's free at the moment.

TFS by nature needs a CAL (user license) for access. I am not sure how we can mimic Github.

Github would be the ideal, but really I'm just looking for a standardized place to put sample code that has nothing to do with production. Since TFS is the standard version control system for Legal, pretty much all developers already have access to it (have licenses) and would thus be able to access the location.

Sounds good. Cobalt Spikes would be the team project you would use to check in such code.

I like this approach. I think I will give this a try.
