Can a wildcard character be used for historical searches in DSS? e.g. US/(enter wildcard here)

I understand that you mean Historical Search in TRTH. You can instead use Historical Criteria Search which can select pattern of RIC search.

For REST API, you can use the HistoricalCriteriaSearch endpoint for the same functionality. The supported regular expression patterns are provided in this question.
