IPA Volatility Surfaces API - The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send

While testing the the IPA Volatility Surfaces API , we sometimes randomly get the error message:

"The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send."

The documentation for the IPA Volatility Surfaces API ( https://developers.refinitiv.com/refinitiv-data-platform/refinitiv-data-platform-apis/docs?content=65116&type=documentation_item ) lists bunch of error messages but it does not list this.

Could you please give more details on this error message?

As of 2020-10-26 the status of case 09217653 opened by the client is still Work in Progress. I'm extending the triage.

The case 09217653 has been closed with the following resolutions.

Confirmed that the error message is a client code issue and is unrelated to Refinitiv products, based on the following evidence:

Solutions found on the Web all indicate a client-side fix;
There are no matching RDP issues at the time when it was reported.
This error is not reported by other customers.

@NSavjani,

I can see that you opened case 09098863 with Refinitiv Helpdesk and that the case was closed without resolution. Do you still experience the error? Please let us know either way. If the issue is still outstanding, I'd like to make sure it gets to the right resolver team within Refinitiv.

Another ticket was then opened through MyRefinitiv, which is being looked into by the Refinitiv team
