Can EstGuidMeanAtDate return a single number?

This is a question about Excel API. When I type the formula below into a cell in Excel,

=TR("WMT","TR.EstGuidMeanAtDate.value", "GuidEstMeasure=EPS RollPeriods=True Period=FY1 SDate=2012-01-05")

It returns a vector:

4.42948

4.45533

4.49863

Why does it return a series of number? I specify EPS guidance for FY1 as of 2020-01-05, so I expect only one number. Could someone help me get the only latest EPS guidance as of a date that I select?

@iwasaki Hi i am using the python API but its hitting the same service - I get the same thing 3 data values - see below:

So I can replicate the response - I think you should speak to the content team by opening a content query as they are best placed to handle what the output means.

You can do this by going to the helios menu (next to search bar) --> contact us.

I hope this can help.

Hi @iwasaki maybe because your start date is 2012-01-05 - so either change that to 2020. Or can I suggest you use the following field TR.EPSMean(Period=FY1).

=TR("WMT","TR.EPSMean(Period=FY1)")

I hope this can help.

Thank you for quick response. What I want is TR.EstGuidMeanAtDate, which is a company guidance and different from consensus estimate TR.EPSMean. Moreover, I specifically want the FY1 guidance number as of 2012-01-05.

Please be informed that a reply has been verified as correct in answering the question, and has been marked as such.
