Parallel Computing

Dear all, I was wondering whether with the EIkon API and the Refinitiv Dataplatform API we can use a sort of parallel computing, or increase the number of core I use to run the search. I have a code that is analyzing thousands of bonds retrieving their features and calculate the yields. I am trying to understand whether there is a way to speed up this process. thank you in advance for your time and support. Unfortunately, I did not find any question posted related to this.

Hello @tanja.baccega,

Please see this document on the Eikon Data API Limits. You will have to ensure that your application does not breach these limits, or else it might get throttled.

If the requirement is to analyze thousands of instruments, then a bulk feed product like DataScope Select might be more suited. It allows downloading a bulk file, either on demand or on schedule and then your application can piecemeal its way through it. Please contact your Refinitiv account manager, if you are interested in DSS.
