eikon python modeule unable to work after my jupyter crashed

Hi,

My jupyter notebook is not able to load the eikon python module after my jupyter crashed. Below is the error message.

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'eikon'

I also tried to activate 'pip install eikon' and got the error message below.

Requirement already satisfied: eikon in c:\users\wei-li.tan (1.1.7) Could not fetch URL https://pypi.org/simple/httpx/: There was a problem confirming the ssl certificate: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='pypi.org', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /simple/httpx/ (Caused by SSLError(SSLError(1, '[SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:852)'),)) - skipping Could not fetch URL https://pypi.org/simple/pip/: There was a problem confirming the ssl certificate: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='pypi.org', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /simple/pip/ (Caused by SSLError(SSLError(1, '[SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:852)'),)) - skipping Note: you may need to restart the kernel to use updated packages.

Hi,

If you has a crash with jupyter, I suggest to clean your python env.
That means :

  • at least, uninstall eikon and its main dependencies (httpx, nest-asyncio) from your <python distrib>\lib\site-packages (you can delete manually directories to be sure that nothing remains)
    then reinstall eikon
  • or restart with a new Python distrib
