Is there a way to get the full list of symbols of specific type (e.g. forex, metal, commodity, etc) using python datastream API?

Hi,

I am trying to get the list of symbols/instruments that are available on my python datastream API. All documentation I found is about how to access the data of one or few symbols by their tickers, I wonder if there is a way to directly access the list of symbols that are available?
