Is there any custom Refinitiv API that can provide us market (Exchange) open/close flag on a dynamic basis? We need to identify markets which are open at any given time. We tried to fetch market open and close time based on the following Refinitiv FIDs but we observed they are not being populated at the moment. (14528, 3877, 1392, 6692, 6693) Are they not used at the moment? We can also use INST_PHASE to identify whether the market is open or close, but this involves building a complex logic, so we are avoiding it. Kindly advise.

Based on a similar previous question, using the INST_PHASE field is likely the best approach.
However, if you wish to confirm if any further easier to use indicators are available I recommend you raise a Content ticket with the My.Refinitiv helpdesk. A content specialist should then be able to confirm if any such content exists on our realtime feed.
Our realtime APIs are content-neutral and just provide what is published by the source / feed - so the API cannot tell you if a market is open or closed.

@umer.nalla Thanks a lot for your inputs above. I am from Customer Support and we have provided FIDs 8927 and FID 118 as status indicators depending on the market. The client would like to either use that for their current application to detect when a market is close or not or in case their API is not suitable for this functionality, if we have any API that we can recommend to them.

I do not think we have any APIs that provide a function to detect market open/close status for consumers.

Just another question if okay please. The client is currently using EMA and they would like to run snapshots on active RICs but they want to make sure that they will do it only when the market is open. They want to avoid snapping during market close as they will have errors. we have provided the FIDs and corresponding detais but they are finding a way to automate the proves. I am wondering if you have an idea if this is possible.

In this case, the client may need to send multiple requests
- The first one for check those FIDs that relate to market status
- If the FIDs value mean, market open, then send a data request
