I want to include the RIC's of Preference shares when pulling all Canadian-traded equities in Screener. Currently, filtering for Canadian-traded equities only displays ordinary shares. Is there a way to include preferred shares too?
By doing this I want to apply different columns such as volume to the preferred shares.
Eventually, I want to export as formula and use the Eikon Data API to pull the data into Python.

Screener provides search for companies, not for issues. It returns the RIC for the primary issue of the company, which is typically a common stock. I don't believe there's a way to get what you're looking for from Screener.
For your purpose I would recommend using the Search service on RDP. See the article titled "Building Search into your Application Workflow" for details.
Is there a way to achieve this without using Screener or RDP? I am running into issues using RDP.
