Elektron Connect Implementation- XML Configurator Issue

I am having a problem with Elektron implementation into Calypso and the issue is related to the XML configuration per the email below. Any help will really be appreciated.

Below is the latest feedback I received form the team working on this issue.. please look into it as we prepare for the meeting at 1 pm

We believe the issue is with credentials configured in the xml file that is expected to be supplied to the RFA API. We have not been able to connect using your test program with the provided xml.

As per our understanding, the connectivity and authentication is handled by code in RFA.jar supplied by Refinitiv. As a first step, we would need to ensure the Refinitiv test program works correctly with the supplied XML credentials from the CRDB server.

Our objective would be to have working XML configuration for credentials in our meeting today and successful testing with the “quickConsumer” test program provided in previous meeting.

The issue has been fixed by the Vendor. The application works fine now.

Hello @Edward.Njuguna

Could you please give us more details about the issue?

  • The version of the RFA API (7.X or 8.X)?
  • The connection type (SSL - Market Feed or RSSL)
  • What is the problem?

Basically, the RFA XML configurations file contains only RTDS endpoint detail (IP/hostname, port, etc), not the username credential.

1) Version is RFA 8.X
2) Connection type is RSSL
3) Problem is they are getting an authentication error when they run the XML configuration file using these client credentials.
