Reason for too many Refinitiv Eikon product Opens Connections
Hi, We use Refinitiv Eikon product in Turkey Ing bank. Although we use 543 active rics in the prod environment, it appears as 30721 in the Opens parameter in our connected DACS system. Attached is the screenshot in prod.jpeg. Our application is subscribed to the Refinitiv system one by one, as in the attached kod.jpg image. Is it possible for you to guide us about why the 30721 Opens connection information appears?
According to the ADS installation guide, the opens value represents the total number of sink open calls for items. This number is added up when a user subscribes to items.
For example, I have an application that subscribes to only one item. Then, it unsubscribed and resubscribed to the same item every 5 seconds.
The following is the output from adsmon.
There is only one active item and ADS received 47 item requests due to resubscription from this user.
Consequently, it is not a number of open connections. It is the total number of item requests sent by this user since this user has connected to ADS.
