Where can I find information on "News Feed Direct"?

I'm working on a proof of concept and have been provided by a client a developer guide for the Thomson Reuters 'News Feed Direct' - newsfeeddirectdeveloperguide21.pdf

Is there anywhere on this developers community I can find more information about this, or has this service been superseded by something else like Elektron?
