About Screening through Thomson Reuters Eikon AFO

Hello, I’m using Thomson Reuters Eikon datastream first time, and have some question about deal the data. In terms of research, I need to find out realative financial variable (e.g assets, equity,EPS…) of multiple listed companies in ten years. I have found those companies , but I don’t know how to screen those data in according to my requirements, for example I want to exclude unlisted companies during this period,(some companies are not always at listing state during this period,at the beginning, they may didn’t list), or exclude some companies who have negative value of equity,or exclude those companies who has adopted IFRS accounting standard before 2005,what should I do to solve those problems? Hope everyone who knows can help me,thank you.@yishui2681

Hi @yishui2681

Are you using the Datastream web service or AFO (Excel add in). If it is the excel add in then best to direct your question to the dedicate helpdesk - via this link

https://my.thomsonreuters.com/contactus?

To help with your screening you should download the items BDATE & TIME which will give you the base date & the last date the equity priced (if delisted). Simple functions cold be created to determine negative value of equity again the dedicated helpdesk could design a formula for this.
