How would you suggest we download large files (2015 is 157 gb. Even if we split it by month, we wouldn’t be able to download the data)

Hello, I've received client's question as below:

'So we’re still trying to download the extractions of the history via the DSS GUI and it looks like there is a download limit of 500kb/s on your server. Is that correct? How would you suggest we download large files (2015 is 157 gb. Even if we split it by month, we wouldn’t be able to download the data) '

What can I suggest to the client as a solution in the above request?

Thank you in advance,

Hi @jolanta.chochol,

Depending on the extracted data, a user should be able to download the extracted data from DSS FTP/SFTP. If they use API, then there is an option for direct-download from AWS which offers large bandwidth. See this answer on how to use FTP.

In the past, there used to be an option to deliver bulk data through physical media. You will have to contact DSS team directly, to find if its still an option.
