Regarding the "1-" prefix in PermID: can this be removed while maintaining the integrity of the ID? What is a use case for when the 1- is required?

Basing this off the question asked in 2016: https://community.developers.refinitiv.com/questions/7909/why-is-there-a-1-prefix-in-permid.html

I'd prefer to keep the ID as an int-type, therefore removing the prefix.

Thank you.

@amir.zahreddine

As mentioned in this thread, it is a current design in the Open PermID API.

The '1-' prefix is used when we would like to access data through the Open PermID API or PermID website.

There is the PermID field available in the response that doesn't have the prefix. You can access this field to get the ID as an integer type

You can also submit feedback to the PermID team via permid.feedback@refinitiv.com.
