Hi team,

How do I fix the attached error I am facing with the Example application?

Hello @Uttam.Haridas,

The DSS example application and the .NET SDK is no longer going to be supported. I would recommend that you look at the Postman, Java and Python samples available here. Since the API is RESTful, it can be used with any programming language. There are a lot of articles and code samples using the API as well.

You need to use a Visual Studio 2019 or 2022 (not Visual Studio Code) to rebuild the example.

Then I have few additional questions for my understanding so that I can take next steps accordingly.

1. Why are we still promoting or keeping the download of the DSS API Example application on the Dev portal? This is prone to more issues raised from the customers and internal users and its not the efficient use of mine or your team's time. I suggest that if this example app isn't supported then, its better to take it off from the Dev portal.
   
2. What API client tools are recommended for CLMs and CSMs to promote it with the customer, while delivering an DSS API training to them?

This would be a question for the product team. For now, DSS GUI and Postman examples would be the right tools for anyone to use.

Has the client followed all the installation instructions provided with the example app?

You can modfiy the code (MainWindow.xaml.cs) by adding the following line.

    public partial class MainWindow

    {

        private int _lastTabIndex;

        private bool _changingTabs;


        public MainWindow()

        {

            InitializeComponent();
System.Net.ServicePointManager.SecurityProtocol =

                 SecurityProtocolType.Tls11 | SecurityProtocolType.Tls12; 

Then, recompile and build a new exe file.

The only step I am currently stuck with is the recompiling and building a new exe file. How do I recompile and build a new exe file?
