Is there a way to bypass OnePass for logon into Cobalt Products?
Ryan Morlok
Is there a way to log on to a Cobalt product with just a registration key that doesn't involve a OnePass username/password?

Yes, using Prism Authentication
Use the [WLN Routing Page][1] and turn the "OnePassSignOn" setting to "Off". Click "Save Changes and Sign On" at the bottom of the routing page. On the WLN Sign On page enter the first seven numeric characters of your registration key as the username, and the next six alphanumeric characters as the password.

Beat me to it. Might want to add that you the routing change is to set "OnePassSignOn" to "Off".

On the routing page change "OnePassSignOn" to off and then when you get to the sign on page you can use the registration key as described by Chad.

This no longer seems to work, and I suspect it's got something to do with WLN moving to COSI. Does anyone know if there's another trick to bypassing OnePass now, or is this just a defect that needs to be corrected?

Once WLN moves to COSI, this will no longer be a valid way to sign in interactively if going to the COSI pages.
As stated above, you can go to the routing page, turn off COSIInteractive, and then you will be routed to the current pages, and can split the registration key as before.

Thanks Chad! Just to clarify, from the routing page, click the "Toggle Supported Features" button and uncheck COSIInteractive, then click "Save Changes and Sign On". That will get you back to the old WLN signon page. (And you may still have to switch OnePassSignOn to Off -- I haven't tested it yet.)

Correct. You still have to do the first answer on the routing page as well, otherwise it won't even allow it to work from there.

Mort, just curious, why do you want to bypass OnePass sign-on? Even if it is possible to do, you may start seeing random errors/issues as it is becoming less of a supported feature.

I've been in the habit of sending new people a temporary password checked out from the WLN Passwords (
http://wlnpasswords.int.thomson.com/)
site as a workaround as they wait for their more permanent credentials. Not sure who else uses those passwords, but I think that site was built by someone in the QED community...
