Test domain for Google Apps for Business
Charles Lehman
I am currently testing a Firm Central desktop utility issue around the Outlook Calendar. The customer is using Google Apps for Business. I can create a free 30 day test account but I need a domain to map to it. Is anyone aware of a free domain service I could use or do we have a test domain I could link to Google Apps for Business temporarily?

If all you need is a domain name, you might just skip the formalities and pass the hat around. It costs less than $15 for a year's registration. If you need hosting as well, there are plenty of cheap hosts out there.
For my personal domains, I use a Texas-based company called Dryline Hosting (drylinehosting.com). At $5/mo plus $10/yr for the domain name, they're comparable to the guys that advertise on racecars, and definitely more businesslike. Forbes has [an article](

with links to some folks they recommend (including gandi.net, another of my personal favorites for standalone domain registration).

Like Robert said, there's always passing around the hat (I've always liked Namecheap for just domains) or you could get yourself a .tk domain ([

since those are free and you could get it for 30 days and be done.
