How to get SAFE credentials for testing a SAFE-secured application?
MikeNistler
I have an existing application that integrates with SAFE SSO. I want to run automated tests against my application, but don't want it to use my personal employee SAFE credentials. I'd like to have some sort of "service credentials" created that can authenticate against SAFE but aren't tied to me personally. How can I arrange for something like that? Or alternatively, how are SAFE authenticated applications tested?
(interestingly, if there's any automated tests against the TechOverflow application itself, those details could help answer my question)

Emailing this request to Thomson.safesupport@thomson.com caused them to create generic testing accounts (complete with UserID, Password, DOB, Security Question) and email the details.

this page shows how to accept the parameters that SAFE provides as a result of a successful authentication, but unfortunately doesn't address how to get credentials for testing.

Just one comment. Make sure that you are pointing the application to SAFE QA instead of PROD in the lower environments. We had a similar problem when automating tests for some internal applications and obtaining a testing account in SAFE PROD was difficult.
