External Connectivity via Proxy to DSS Rest API

Good day everyone,

My first post on the Developer Community and i'm posting on behalf of a colleague so please excuse my initial vagueness.

My colleague is trying to use Matlab to connect the Datascope API however we are having issues and this could be more due to us not configuring correctly rather than any blocks on our proxy gateways. Below is the error message:

Error using matlab.net.http.RequestMessage/sendOneRequest (line 1035)

The error ''HTTP Exception: Cannot establish proxy connection: authenticationrequired'' occurred while communicating with URL

'https://hosted.datascopeapi.reuters.com/RestAPI/v1/Authentication/RequestToken'.

My colleague hasn't actively inputted the proxy into any code so this may be the issue? If so where would he need to put the proxy in the code, i.e. is there a seperate config file he will need'?

Hello @darren.rogers I am not too familiar with Matlab setup with proxy, but a quick google search shows following way to do this: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/99719-how-can-i-configure-my-proxy-server-settings-within-matlab

Matlab has a Datafeed toolbox which works with TRTH (tick history) - which is similar interface to DSS; and is supported by Matlab.

Its best to ask this question at Matlab support forums.
