How does WestlawNext display eyeglasses in a search result?
Michael Harlow
I'm working through an issue on the iPad and could use some help understanding how it works on the WestlawNext website. The problem is that the eyeglasses icon is not appearing in a search result (non-native on iPad) after closing the document I opened from the search result. On the website, you can click 'Return to list' and the document entry in the search result list will have eyeglasses. This also works if you press the browser back button to get to the search results. What is happening when the results page displays that it can add the eyeglasses?

The eyeglasses icon is returned from a call to the foldering vertical icons endpoint from the search vertical. If you are not seeing the icon when you view the document and then return to the list, it is possible that that document view event is not being captured in history. It might be good to click the document, then view your document history to see that it was captured. If it was captured, is it possible that there could be some sort of caching issue?

I know the eyeglasses icon is part of the velocity template rendered for search results. When you click the "return to list" link, does that cause a refresh of the page (or just the search results) for the results list?
