DSS REST API daily limit

Hi, Are there any limits on the number of records that can be requested using the REST API? Both for individual requests and/or a daily limit?

We're using the ExtractWithNotes API call to retrieve Terms and Conditions and bond schedule data.

Both file codes and chain RICs are instrument types that can be used when extracting data. They represent the grouping of instruments.

For example, File Code 1 represents Hong Kong Stock Exchange Equities and contains 2856 active instruments.

0#.FTSE represents FTSE 100 INDEX and contains instruments in FTSE 100 INDEX.

Instead of adding all RICs in FTSE 100 INDEX in the request, you just specify this 0#.FTSE chain RIC in the request and this chain will be expanded to all RICs in FTSE 100 INDEX.

There are a few limits to be considered.

Limits by Report Template: Extraction Limits - REST API Documentation (refinitiv.com) (DSS credentials required), this is also mentioned in the 'DataScope Select Best Practices & Fair Usage Policy' guide as mentioned below:

Terms and Conditions

50000 instruments before file code and chain expansion;

250000 after file code and chain expansion.

1000 legal entities before file code and chain expansion.

Bond Schedules

150000 instruments before file code and chain expansion;

There are also API endpoint limits mentioned in the Developer portal (MyRefinitiv/Developer portal credentials required):

Thanks Gareth, could you clarify what you mean by file code and chain expansion?
