TRTH v2 uses the same client facing servers as DataScope Select, though a given user ID may access either Tick History content or the traditional DataScope Select content sets, based on the permissions set for his user account.

The difference - from the point of view of the user - lies in the delivered data and the clients workflow. For example, tick history client should only use historical search to add instruments.

Hi, Can you explain a little bit deeper?

What do you mean by saying historical search?

If I want to query OHLC data (hourly) for the past three days, which one should l use?

Thanks.

You can search and validate instruments and entities via DataScope Select.

But only Historical Search can give you the past instruments and entities that no longer available (e.g. delisted stock).

As a result, it is recommended to use Historical Search for validating Tick History instruments.
