We are trying to append the RICS to the instrument list but we are not able to append historical rics to the list. Is there any way to do it ?

You need to select the "Allow Import of Historical Instruments" in the User Preferences page.
This key preference is required to import historical instruments for use in Tick History extractions.
@samara, you can decide that historical and inactive instruments are accepted, by setting the following user preferences in the web GUI:
