When I try to extract Tick History Intraday Summaries extraction using attached python file from our developers portal <https://developers.refinitiv.com/en/api-catalog/refinitiv-tick-history/refinitiv-tick-history-rth-rest-api/download>
I am receiving below error message:
ConnectionError: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='hosted.datascopeapi.reuters.com', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /RestApi/v1/Extractions/ExtractRaw (Caused by NewConnectionError('<urllib3.connection.HTTPSConnection object at 0x00000218F3E65040>: Failed to establish a new connection: [WinError 10060] A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond'))
Looks like your connection is timing out, failing to establish a connection to DSS endpoints. I am able to run the example without issues, after first replacing the placeholder DSS credentials with valid.
Can we check what are your versions of
python -m pip freeze | findstr requests
And openssl library version, I suspect you are on windows, 64 bit, run command shell as administrator:
"C:\Program Files\OpenSSL-Win64\bin\openssl" version
