LPC installation issue on Oracle Linux 9

Hi Refinitiv team,

We have run into a problem while installing LPC package/software on our side.

Details:

LPC version : lpc1.2.0

Server OS version : oracle linux 9

While installing lpc1.2.0 on our oracle linux 9 server, we get below error:

RSSL login failed for user: andbanktest_lpc_user Text: Error querying service discovery: Failed to initialize RsslRestClient. Text: </local/jenkins/workspace/RRTLPC/OS/OL7-64/esdk/source/esdk/Cpp-C/Eta/Impl/Util/rsslCurlJIT.c:77> Error: 0012 Libcurl intialization failed. Curl library: libcurl.so not found.

Question – is lpc1.2.0 supported on oracle linux 9? How can we resolve this installation issue?

RedHat Linux 9 (and presumably Oracle Linux 9) come with OpenSSL v3.0x installed. LPC 1.2.x (and the forthcoming LPC release) do not support OpenSSL v3.0.x. Only Linux 7 and 8 are supported with LPC 1.2.x.

I would like to add additional information to @christopher.dugan1 answer that you can check the list of supported Operation Systems from the README file in the package.

According to the lpc 1.2.0's README file, the supported OS are as follows:

5.1 Hardware/OS Requirements


    Intel, AMD x64 architecture
    OpenSSL 1.0.2 or later.  (OpenSSL 1.1 or above not supported)
    Operating Systems supported  : Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x (64 bit)
                                   Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x (64 bit)
                                   Oracle Enterprise Linux 7.x (64 bit)
                                   VMWare with the Linux Operating systems listed above
                                   Docker containers for Red Hat / Oracle Linux 7.4 or above in 7.x series
                                   Docker containers on Docker Toolbox for Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019
                                   Amazaon Linux 7 for host and Docker on AWS AMI.
