recommended DSS client - SOAP or REST?

Hi, it seems like the SOAP and the REST API are not identical. What is the recommended way of accessing DSS data ? Is SOAP going to be supported in the future?

    Thanks for posting this question on the portal. I would highly recommend using DSS REST API for your efforts. DSS SOAP API is in maintenance mode. Even though SOAP API version will be supported in the future, DSS REST API is considered the strategic delivery mechanism and the new content/capabilities like C&E and Tick are built solely on REST only.
