Access Denied while using API Playground on Developer Portal

Hi Team,

The client is trying to use the API Playground tool through Developer Portal, and they are getting an error saying 'Access Denied'

Can you please help to check who can help on this? We checked with MyAccount Team on this as well and they confirmed that the client has access for this.

The API Playground page https://apidocs.refinitiv.com/Apps/ApiDocs is for the Delivery Platform (RDP) APIs only, not the DataScope Select API. The client needs RDP credential to access the site.

The WebUI for the DataScope Select API is https://select.datascope.refinitiv.com/ .

The Username used by the client is not the RDP credentials? Do the RDP credentials consist of a seperate username and password details?

Hello @Samruddh

The DataScope Select (DSS) and RDP APIs have separate credential and permission sets. They are different API and Product. The DSS API credential cannot be used with the RDP APIs (and vice versa).

According to the client message "I want to write Python code to access DataScope Select API.", there is no DataScope Select API information on that API Playground tool page. If the client needs information about the DSS API, the resources are as follows:
