I strongly suggest you contact your LSEG representative or Account manager to help you with this question.

We, Developer Relations team does not have knowledge on Alteryx system. However, some of LSEG APIs can connect through the HTTP REST API, Snowflake, Power BI, etc. Your account manager or sale representative should be able to suggest the one that match your requirements.

We were actually pointed here by LSEG support.

We would likely prefer to connect through REST API. Our main questions are:

What URL do we use to connect to the HTTP REST API?

How do we pass through credentials?

Where could we get the documentation on how to structure calls?

We can help with REST API and provide documentation. Which product are you using? Only some of these provide REST API access and mechanism is different for each one.

We have a shared Workspace account we are hoping to use. For more context we are trying to replace a report that uses the Workspace excel plugin to refresh daily financial data with a direct API connection that feeds into alteryx.

There are two issues with this -

1. Workspace does not provide REST API access. To get data, a user will need to use LSEG Data Libraries. See the LD Libraries option here.
2. The data from the workspace is for single named user only. LSEG does not allow this data to be derived and redistributed.

An enterprise product like DSS/TickHistory or RDP would be a better fit for your needs. You can speak with your LSEG account manager to find out more about these products.

Hi -circling back to this. I spoke with Workspace support.

It seems that having workspace access should mean that no additional access is required for LSEG data libraries.

Additionally, we have authorization for data to be distributed beyond a single user.

Considering the above is it possible to get the documentation?

A Full Workspace user does not need any additional access to use the LSEG libraries. The documentation and code samples for LD library are available on the developers portal.
