NONINTERACTIVE source behaviour on rtc

Hi - im inserting into a NI source off stream on an RTC fan out layer, and I want it to traverse up to the caching layer to the source and be held persistantly in cache up there. How do i set the source config on both fan out and caching layer to do this please?

I have tried replicating adh / ads settings where possible and it doesnt behave the same
