SFC to RFA migraion

Hi Team, one of our client is currently using SFC to consume market data and willing to move to RFA.

Client is using below 3 SFC services,

DF_TOR - Direct data feed for Canadian symbols

ITS - ITS Consolidated data

ELEKTRON_DD_FT - US Data symbols

In the process of migration, we need some details from your side:

Could you please explain about the need of 3 different SFC services?

Moreover, when moved to RFA (C++ V8.2.5)

1. Can a single RFA service be used to replace these 3 services?

2. If yes, then which service can be used to replace these 3 SFC services?

3. Are there any side effects of replacing 3 services with 1?

I am not the RFA C++ expert, but there is a Service Groups feature on the RFA API that can combine multiple RTDS services into a single service on the client side.

You can find more detail on the RFA C++ document (available on the API package).

About the could you please explain about the need of 3 different SFC services?

The SFC is connected to the on-prem RTDS service. That those 3 services (DF_TOR,ITS,ELEKTRON_DD_FT) are most likely to be created on the client's RTDS server by their Market Data team. You need to talk with the client's Market Data team about why they need 3 services.

According to my knowledge, those services are from different data feeds.

ELEKTRON_DD_FT should be from LSEG real-time network while DF_TOR should be from the exchange direct feed.

These services may support different sets of RICs. You can attempt to subscribe to RICs from DF_TOR using ELEKTRON_DD_FT. If the RIC is unsupported, the system should return the message: 'Record could not be found.'
