LMC API generating event processObjectServerRootRemoved

Hi,

I am trying to rewrite our old code which uses RMC API. Now I am using LMC 3.0.0 version.

But it looks like after registering events for all required managed objects & variables, LMC API is generating processObjectServerRootRemoved event.

I am trying to subscribe to around 1400 objects & 8000 variables.

If I remove few objects from subscription list, then it works fine. May I know what might be the reason LMC is generating RootRemoved event? Is there a way to find out the cause?

I checked and found that this is a callback method of the RTRProxyManagedObjectServerClient class. This class has four callback methods.

virtual void 	processObjectServerError (RTRProxyManagedObjectServer &)

virtual void 	processObjectServerSync (RTRProxyManagedObjectServer &)

virtual void 	processObjectServerRootAdded (RTRProxyManagedObjectServer &, const RTRProxyManagedObjectHandle &)

virtual void 	processObjectServerRootRemoved (RTRProxyManagedObjectServer &, const RTRProxyManagedObjectHandle &)

An application will retrieve these callbacks by calling the addClient method of the RTRProxyManagedObjectServer object. The RTRProxyManagedObjectServer object can have many roots.

RTRProxyManagedObjectHandleIterator 	RTRProxyManagedObjectServer::roots () const

At first, an application can access the roots from the processObjectServerSync callback. Please check the sample code in Monitor::processObjectServerSync method in the monitorRoots.C file.

Then, the added roots and removed roots will be notified via the processObjectServerRootAdded and processObjectServerRootRemoved methods, respectively.

processObjectServerRootAdded: The given root proxy managed object handle has been added to the given proxy managed object server.

processObjectServerRootRemoved: The given root proxy managed object handle has been removed from the given proxy managed object server.

Therefore, an application needs to check which roots are added and removed via these callbacks.

I understand what you have mentioned above. I am calling addClient function. But the main problem is that lmc library is calling processObjectServerRootRemoved, I would like to know the reason. Is there anyway to know that (e.g, by enabling logging of library)?

In the same host, I am running another application which subscribes to same shared memory segment but it does not receive processObjectServerRootRemoved for the same root. lmc library is calling processObjectServerRootAdded with same root after 2 seconds of calling processObjectServerRootRemoved . It is continuously going on.
