How to use lseg-data\ Eikon python packages without opening Refinitiv Workspace

I was able to retrieve the data I needed using the lseg-data python package as well as the eikon python package, however, this is only possible if the workspace app is open in my machine. Is there another way to get the data without opening the workspace app?
