Using the LSEG COM library for Workspace in Excel VBA what is the best way to return portfolio constituents of a workspace Model/Reference portfolio ?

If you means getting the items listed in your created portfolio, you can use the Portfolio function with the portfolio's name, as an item name, as shown below.
Portfolio('JP','2025-01-01')
