I would love to get some insight into a complete python method of mapping a bond ISIN to the issuer's PermID. According to helpdesk, there isn't a way, so I'll share how I've managed so far.
Step 1:With my list of ISINs, I use the formula @RDP .Data(I2#,"TR.FiIssuerName;TR.FiIssuerOrganization;TR.PPIssuerEntityId;TR.OrgidCode","CH=Fd RH=IN") to get issuer OrgIDs. I discovered one has to have an additional column IF(N2<>$N$3,N2&"@OrgID" ,"") to get the right syntax for the next step.Step 2:Take the list of OrgIDs and place in a completely new Excel sheet. Upload said Excel sheet to RATMON. In RATMON, specify the columns to include the PermIDs.
With the aim of a completely automated process, this is obviously not the best method. If anyone has any suggestions, would love to hear them!
