Connecting in RDMES mode

Hi,

We have developed a ETA consumer and tested it on your cloud infrastructure and it all works great (with oauth version 2 and login). now, one for our clients has a VPN connection to your servers and all we have is their user Id (we got from a hand over doc).

we were told (one of your technical guys) that it does not require using oauth (with client secret) to establish a connection, login and all.

where can i find documentation or a code example for creating a consumer like that?

i checked the docs and examples but could not find reference to RDMES mode consumer.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

You can check the ETA Consumer example in the RTSDK package.

It supports several parameters to establish a connection to the server on cloud or RTDS.

I am not sure what RDMES mode is.

Are you using ETA C, ETA Java, or ETA C#?

I am assuming that the client wants to connect RTMDS (Real-Time Managed Distribution Service).

The connection to RTMDS is the same logic as on-prem RTDS

RTMDS IP Address or Hostname
RTMDS RSSL Port
RTMDS DACS Username

The VAConsumer is the recommend example.

The client can use the RTDS Quick start as follows (just replace RTDS Hostname/IP to RTMDS Hostname/IP)
