How to use the Eikon desktop app at the same time as the Scripting APIs?

Essentially what it says in the title - can this be done and if so how?

It doesn't appear possible at the moment as logging into the scripting API appears to log you out of the Eikon app?!

This would seem to be an extremely significant and unnecessary limitation if that is the case.

    Hi Dave,

    This is not supported in the beta version but will be once we launch the APIs fully. The proxy will be available as an Eikon App (from the menus) as well as a standalone capability.

    Is there any ETA for when this functionality will be released? It's a huge pain at the moment, making it impossible to both develop with the proxy whilst keeping an eye on the markets at the same time.
