Datastream API fails to pull WC05350 for sample ISINs

Regular Datastream can pull WC05350 for ISINs below but API fails and returns NA:

Please help fix the issue

Hi,

Here we can see that you have used LATEST VALUE within your request. Therefore you will need to use LATESTDATE as the START Date within DSWS.

Regarding your question if the ISIN names are valid, I checked Eikon and it can read the ISINs just fine:

IE00BY7QL619 - Johnson Controls International PLC
US18482P1030 - Clearfield Inc

US1251411013 - Ceco Environmental Corp

US0025353006 - Aaron's Inc

Is there a way we can apply a fix on the Datastream API issue? Thanks!

Hi, This isn't a DSWS question. The ISIN's work fine. Please contact the helpdesk to identify why we do not have this Worldscope content for these ISINs.

I am from the helpdesk. There is Worldscope content for these ISINs and it works fine via normal Datastream product. Here's the formula and result:

=DSGRID("IE00BY7QL619,US18482P1030,US1251411013,US0025353006","WC05350","Latest Value","","","ColHeader=true;DispSeriesDescription=true;DispDatatypeDescription=true","")

FISCAL PERIOD END DATE

This proves the following:

1) There IS Worldscope content for the ISINs

2) The issue is with DSWS product not being able to pull up the content
