How can I pull the asset type given an ISIN or a RIC?

Hello, I am iterating over asset lists of certain funds. Is there a way to distinguish between the asset types in the python API? If I have the ISIN or the RIC of a stock and an index for example? Thank you!

    Use TR.AssetCategoryCode and/or TR.AssetCategory fields. E.g.

    ek.get_data(['US0378331005','US345370CS72','F5YUSAX=R', '.SPX'],
                ['TR.AssetCategoryCode','TR.AssetCategory'])
