Error on handshake port 9060 when calling get_app_key()

I am getting the following error when i try to set my appkey in python.

Error on handshake port 9060 : TimeoutException("TimeoutException on HTTP request: ReadTimeout('')")

I am unsure what is causing this as it has been working perfectly well untill yesterday

Eikon Data API expects the Eikon proxy, that is part of your Eikon/RW installation, to listen on the port (by default 9060) and to facilitate requests on your behalf. If for some reason it does not appear to listen on port, this is the likely cause of such message.

The first thing I would try, is to shut down your Eikon/RW, make sure that the shutdown is clean ( no Eikon/RW processes remain running via Task Manager) and only then restart Eikon/RW and log in. Then, retry the API call.
