I used the fund screener via eikon app, but I could only export (to excel) 10k rows at most even though there could be more funds that satisfy my criteria. Is there a way to get all funds (>10k) that were generated by the filters?
@cccccali, Is this is a question about the Eikon app, not the Eikon API? If so, I think you better raise this query to customer support to get the answer for the app. My understanding is the 10K rows limitation set by this app. If you are asking if Eikon API can do that or not, I think it cannot as the Eikon API do not have a general fund screening function. Can you tell us what exactly is the screening criteria?
However, if you willing to use the RDP Funds API, it is more likely it can screen for more than 10K funds.
Lastly, not related to API services nor Eikon platform, Lipper IM desktop service should also able to support fund screening for more than 10K funds.
Hi @cccccali I am encountering the same problem. Have you found a solution for it, please?
Thank you

Hi @cccccali and @RamadanEA , I would like to suggest a non-technical work-around if you didn't find a solution nor able to use RDP Funds API to get export the long list of funds you obtained using FSCREEN app.: Just to divide you list by the asset type or domicile or Lipper Global Classifications (LGC) in the FSCREEN app to get a shorter lists and export them separately. As each fund can only assigned one asset type or domicile or LGC, the lists will not overlap. However this requires more manual effort to do it.
If this is only an one-time effort and you want to understand better of the options to divide your fund list to short ones, you can contact the customer support. The 2nd line support specialist for Lipper is very familiar with the fund contents and may suggest a way suitable to your case.
