DAC authorization and entitlement check for non display use

Hello, we are using RFA 8.1 C++ api to consumer Level1 and Level2 data. We know that to be able to check user authorization with Open DAC's we need to provide DAC user id and position information. This makes sense for request of data for display purpose. We want to understand how to do user authorization checks for non display purpose?

Hi @mktdata,

From the perspective of DACS and the exchanges that want to bill you for the data use - these two are same use case. You will have to create a DACS user for the application which consumes data.

Please note that if this data is shown to the users - then exchanges would like to bill you for each of those users. I recommend that you speak with your Refinitiv account manager to understand what the implications are.
