What does the TRKD PI code mean and how does it relate to perm id ?

The TRKD search service always seems to put a PI on all hits which suggest PI is some kind of record ID within the TR Information Model.

However the range of numbers suggest something else.

Can you please explain what the PI is all about?

Can PI be used as guiding info for searching through content as some kind of paging ?

How does the PI relates to the perm ids on permid.org ?

Thanks

PI code is an ID used by the Thomson Reuters Search Engine. PI codes are unique identifiers for each item in the search index. It is reasonable to get the PI code once and then use it in all further searches.

It doesn't relate to the perm ids.
