Elektron as a Service vs Elektron Connect

What are the differences between Elektron as a Service and Elektron Connect?

Does Elektron as a Service require running TR Software on the client server, like Elektron Connect (the Elektron Daemon)?

Hello @bill.harding,

Quoting from TR Customer Zone:

Thomson Reuters Elektron as a Service is a fully managed solution which delivers a breadth of Thomson Reuters and third party services from facilities strategically located near major exchanges. Everything from colocation space, consolidated and direct feeds to complex market data and trading environments is designed, built, hosted and managed by Thomson Reuters.

Further on Elektron Connect:

Elektron Connect provides cost efficient access to Thomson Reuters content via internet (Secure Socket Layer), Financial Community Network or Delivery Direct from a central hosting facility with zero footprint on the client site.

Yes, you are correct, as one of the differences, EaaS does not require software running on the client server, while Elektron Connect requires to run Elektron zero daemon on the client side.

For a discussion of Elektron connectivity options relevant and best-suited to address your organization's needs, please contact our sales team
