How to access Elektron Real Time in Cloud from an existing application

Hi,

According to the "Quick Start - Connecting to Elektron Real Time in Cloud" document it says that "Thomson Reuters will not support customers outside of Amazon EC2 service until further notice".

Does that mean that if we want to use this service we need to move our application to run on the Amazon Cloud? This seems very odd.

Eventually does it mean that we need to create an REST API (or similar) to run on the Amazon EC2 service which forwards requests to the ERT in the cloud?

I downloaded the Java sample (MarketPriceEdpGwServiceDiscovery) and was able to execute it locally.

Best regards

Geir Magne

Elektron Real Time in the Cloud was launched as a foundation for our cloud services currently in AWS, we are working to enhance the product to support our Elektron SDK (targeted for Q1 2019) as well as expand coverage to other cloud vendors and over the internet. Although you can use the solution for on – premise applications, Refinitiv cannot currently triage any connectivity issues you may have and therefore it may be a longer time to resolution if there were ever an issue. If those terms are acceptable to you and your business, we would be happy to support your connectivity outside of AWS.
