EZD sevice name and username

Hi,

Reading through the Elektron API quick start guide. a client's using electron connect and wishes to connect the Elektron API to EZD. In order to do so they need the service name and user name. Where would they get these details from. Is this pre-configured when the EZD app is installed?

Extract from the API userguide:

"To properly execute this step, you would need access to Thomson Reuters Market Data

system. The market Data endpoint can be an Advanced Distribution Server (ADS),

Elektron Zero Daemon or a local provider source. Your market data administrator can

provide details about the server hostname and RSSL port. In addition, you would need

to know what is the Service Name provided by the server, and a valid Username entitled

to request market data.

Many thanks

@preshan.govinder: The EZD service name is configured when the product is installed. You can see the configured service name and RSSL port in the ezd.cnf file -

*ezd*secureConnection*IDN_RDF*clientServiceName: ELEKTRON_AD
*ezd*snkRsslServer*rsslPort : 14002

The username is also configured at install time and can be read from the ILA file. ILA file is configured in the key:

*ezd*userILAFile : ..../bin/user_list.txt

It contains the comma seperated username and ILA number.
