ADS configuration TREP3.3

Hi Team, we have the below parameter setup in our rmds.cnf.

*DTS*discourageRequestsOnOutage : True

*ELEKTRON_AD*discourageRequestsOnOutage : True *ELEKTRON_DD*discourageRequestsOnOutage : True *dELEKTRON*discourageRequestsOnOutage : True

*ACTIV*discourageRequestsOnOutage : True

I have a question regarding on the discourageRequestOnOutage. Would you let me know what is the parameter used for? Base on the above config, if the ELEKTRON_AD feed is onoutage, will other feeds discourage the data request too?

You can find information regarding this configuration in the service_edge.cpd file in the ADH package and the section 7.9.4 discourageRequestsOnOutage in the ADH installation guide.

When triggered on (true), the purpose of this feature is to discourage downstream distribution components from making requests to this server by raising the server’s load factor to the maximum value. When the feature is triggered off, the load factor returns to its actual value.

When the communication outage occurs (and this parameter is set to True), the ADH will raise the server's load factor to the maximum possible and publish the new load on the network. This encourages sinks to make requests (for new items) to other servers on the network that have lower load factors.
