Currently, there are two main options for users to use python Eikon Data API.

1) Running Eikon Desktop/Workspace Desktop app which currently supported on both Windows and macOS. Then install Eikon Data API for python and run the codes using normal python command or run it from IDE or Notebook app such as JupyterNotebook. A user that runs eikon proxy previously has to install Eikon Desktop/Workspace instead.

2) Run it from the Codebook app on Eikon/Workspace desktop or run the codebook on Eikon/Workspace for Web.
