4:59:59 or 5:00:00, Which is correct market close time in Refinitiv API?

Hello :)

I'm developing a price saving solution recently.

Recently we found that market close time is not regularly.

My team manager says "5:00:00 is correct market close time."

But, My opinion is "4:59:59 is make sense".

Which is correct?

Few days ago we got a close time data at 5:00:03. (UTC +9)

Hello @goodsgjung,

If I understand your question correctly, you are looking at the contents of the field

CLOSE_TIME "MRKT CLOSE TIME" 1392 NULL TIME_SECONDS 8 TIME 5
!
! Market close time.

The contents of the fields are not determined by API. If you integrate with the same service such as Refinitiv Real-Time, using a different realtime API, the contents of the fields from the same service will be the same.

The contents are populated by the exchange, the source of the information.

In my observation, the contents of this field does not correspond to the exchange hours, and can differ.

However, to learn more about this field and it's populated contents, you can contact Refinitiv content experts directly via Refinitiv Helpdesk Online -> Content.
